Meet Cheryl
I am a self taught artist who is inspired by all forms of art and the land and seascapes I have seen along the many travels throughout my life. I currently reside in the beautiful Ozark foothills of Arkansas, where my home studio is located. I long to bring an earthy, simple and organic esthetic to my work that is reminiscent of an earlier more primitive time, where the human hand could be seen in each lump of clay from beginning to end. Finding beauty in the imperfect nature of that process and letting my own two hands be the wheel.
Golden Roots Pottery began with a love of plants and the desire to create perfectly imperfect forms with rustic simplicity.
Each piece of pottery is touched, molded, and formed by hand with the intention of making beautiful vessels that can be enjoyed for years and passed down through the generations.
Unique and intuitively made.
Crafted using only the hands and simple tools, no wheel involved.
